Our group's initial idea.

Summary.

 This video is showing our first ever discussion when we got the project. The first thing we spoke about, was the movie genre. I stated that romantic comedies are very hard to conduct as, they show most the film on the trailer and you need a variety of cast. It is also hard to think of a original storyline and to make things funny, as what we may find funny but our target audience may not. After this we had the idea of having a horror trailer about the devil as i state we could have made symbols that represent the devil and you wouldn't have to show much of the storyline. After this the discussion shows Rebecca suggesting, the set of a church she could get hold of for our locations, this would be good as it will have atmosphere.

Target audience

 We also discussed what target audience we would like, and decided a horror wouldn't be suitable for children, but we also agreed that there will be no rude contents or swearing within our trailer, as it is not suitable for the exam board.

Narrative

 When we spoke about the narrative of our film, we have the idea of exorcism, as it's dramatic and easy to create a storyline, after our discussion that was filmed we decided that actually it would be really hard to film the shots of a exorcism as most films use special effects. There was more discussions about other idea's for example Aimee thought of the idea of a confession box, where the characters confess there demons, this would be an effective idea to convey to the audience as it would create a sense of shock. We decided as a group we should rely on ourselves to be the actors and take it in terns to film due to past projects showing us that relying on people is time consuming. 

Music

 While discussing music, we believe that we should make our own music via Garage band as it is pushing us to our full potential and giving us new skills to further our knowledge of media. This will also show our creativity and make our trailer our own.
